Area Facts: The large statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe, his pet blue ox, which appeared in the movie Fargo, actually are a short drive east of the Fargo – Moorhead area, between the towns of Brainerd and Bemidji, Minnesota. The local area code for Fargo is 701.
